Hail & wind claims · Colorado Springs to the Denver County line
Roof insurance claims, handled properly
The Front Range takes some of the worst hail in the country, and most of the damage is invisible from the ground. We document it, meet your adjuster on the roof, and make sure the approved scope matches the work your roof actually needs.
And if there is no real damage, we say so. Realtors send us their clients precisely because we do not push claims or replacements that are not warranted.

The process
Six steps from storm to finished roof
You always know what happens next, who is doing it, and what your carrier has approved.
01
Free documented inspection
We walk every slope and photograph what we find — hail bruising, wind lift, damaged vents, gutters and flashing. You get a written photo report whether or not there is a claim, and whether or not you hire us. If the roof is fine, we tell you that.
02
Decide whether to file
Not every storm produces a claimable roof. We show you the evidence and let you decide. Filing a claim that gets denied can sit on your insurance record, so we would rather you not file than file blind.
03
File with your carrier
You file the claim — the policy is yours. We give you the date of loss, the documentation and the scope details your carrier will ask for so the first call goes smoothly.
04
We meet your adjuster on site
This is the step that decides what gets paid. We walk the roof with the adjuster, point out every area of damage, and make sure nothing is missed or written off from the ground.
05
Supplements for what was missed
Initial scopes routinely leave out code-required items, ventilation, drip edge, or the second layer nobody knew was there. We submit supplements with documentation so the approved scope matches the real work.
06
Build, inspect, and close it out
We pull permits, install to manufacturer spec, pass inspection, and provide the final documentation your carrier needs to release the remaining funds. Your 10-year workmanship warranty starts at completion.

Insurance vs. warranty
Two different kinds of coverage — know which one applies
Homeowners mix these up constantly, and it costs them money.
Your insurance policy
Covers sudden damage from hail, wind, lightning, fallen trees and similar events — plus interior damage and contents. This is where storm damage belongs.
Our 10-year workmanship warranty
Covers leaks caused by improper application — how the roof was installed. Labor and material included, transferable one time when you sell. Read the full terms →

FAQ
Roof insurance claim questions
- Does my homeowners insurance cover hail damage to my roof?
- Most Colorado policies cover hail and wind damage, though deductibles vary and some policies have separate wind/hail deductibles or actual-cash-value roof endorsements. We document the damage; your carrier determines coverage under your specific policy.
- How long do I have to file a roof claim after a storm?
- Most Colorado policies limit you to a window after the date of loss, often one year. Do not wait — get the damage documented while the storm date is still clear.
- What if my roof claim is denied?
- A denial is not always the end. We review the adjuster's report against our photo documentation and, where the evidence supports it, help you request a re-inspection with the supporting detail included.
- Will you pay or waive my deductible?
- No, and no honest contractor in Colorado will. State law prohibits a roofing contractor from paying, waiving or absorbing an insurance deductible. If your deductible is a hardship, ask us about monthly payment options through Sunlight Financial.
- Does your warranty cover future hail damage?
- No. Our 10-year workmanship warranty covers leaks caused by improper application. Hail, wind, lightning and ice damming are excluded because those are insurance events — and we handle those claims for you when they happen.
- Do I have to use the contractor my insurance recommends?
- No. You choose your contractor. Your carrier determines what it will pay; you decide who does the work.
